Shree P M Patel Institute of Integrated M.Sc. in Biotechnology, a co-educational, integrated course managed by Anand People’s Medicare Society, was established in 2007 by an educationalist entrepreneur. Shree Bipinchandra P. Patel (Vakil) who has a vision to provide quality education and to empower the people of his native town. The quality of education plays a vital role in deciding the progress of an individual at the elementary level and the community at the societal level. It is governed by multiple factors, where in the stakeholders have important and complementary roles to play.
The college is affiliated to Sardar Patel University, V.V. Nagar and it offers Integrated M.Sc. in Biotechnology Course with specialization in Medical Biotechnology, Industrial Biotechnology and Environmental Biotechnology. The college is situated near Sardar bag, opposite new bus stand, Anand. The college has a cluster of beautiful and spacious buildings with class rooms, computer laboratories and science laboratories.
Biotechnology is no longer a fledging technology; it is a driving force in the region and the state, as well as the world. There are multiple areas like Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Environment Conservation, Genetic Engineering, Health Care, Medicine, Industrial Research and Development, where biotechnological techniques are used. There is a great demand for biotechnical experts in countless industries and sectors.
